Chad Trull

Founder

Chad Trull is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of HighFive Healthcare, which he started in September 2018. Currently, HighFive is the largest dental specialty provider in the Southeast, with operations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Indiana, and Florida. Very recently, HighFive closed an investment from Norwest Venture Partners (a private equity firm with over $4 billion under management as of June 30, 2024).

Chad is also the Managing Partner of Krowten Capital, which invests in Technology, Healthcare, and Real Estate industries across the United States.

As Founder and prior CEO of HospiceLink (StateServ), Chad served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board from December 2011 to January 2018. During that time, he completed a transaction selling a majority interest of HospiceLink to Blue Wolf Capital, a New York-based private equity firm. Under his strategic direction, the company earned Inc. 5000 recognition as one of America's fastest-growing private companies in 2016, 2017, and 2018, with over $450 million in annual revenues. In 2021, WindRose, a private equity company based in New York, completed a recapitalization of StateServ, purchasing the entire company for $444 million.

He and a partner purchased the majority of Affinity Hospice in 2016 for $1 million. In November 2018, they sold the company to MBF (a private equity firm in Miami) with over $500 million under management. The investment sold for $228 million within 36 months.

From 2008 to 2012, Chad served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Independent Medical Equipment, which was Alabama's largest DME company when he sold the business in 2012.

Chad started his career in finance and accounting at Deloitte, where he practiced tax advisory services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Samford University, which he received in 2005.

Chad is a two-time nominee for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2016, 2018) and recently won the award in the Services Category of the Southeast Region after being a finalist in 2018. Chad was awarded Alumni of the Year for Samford University in 2022.

Chad has been a leader in moving startups forward for several years, leveraging his experience and relationships to create sustainable value for his partners and shareholders.
